MASTER CLASS

'Integrating Focusing into your Practice: A Therapist Workshop'

This is a rare opportunity to explore Focusing as a means of going beyond techniques and medical assumptions in order to practice psychotherapy as a person-to-person relationship with experiential depth. This 5-hour workshop offers an introduction to integrating the radical acceptance and gentleness of a Focusing sensitivity into our way of being with clients.

During the day we will build upon Focusing as a personal practice with potential for self-insight and for living in a more open way. We will take this respectful and compassionate self-awareness into our development as practitioners and explore the impact that this way of working might have on our understanding of therapy.

We will work from our own experience and client descriptions back to discussions of therapy, generating an exciting opportunity to examine our own preconceptions while developing our counselling practice in a way that is a rigorous alternative to models of dominance.
