MASTER CLASS

"WORKING WITH DREAMS"

Dreams can be a source of creativity, inspiration, guidance (both warning and enlightening) and puzzlement.  We know that they hold up a mirror to our state of mind and inner psyche.  As well as being able to look at dreams from a psychological point of view, we can also see them from a multi-dimensional perspective which incorporates the spiritual.  This is possible when we realise that our imagination is a bridge between matter and spirit.  What we call dreams are really a mixture of our worldly impressions and our individual spirit which is trying to speak to us through the metaphors and narrative of our dreams. In this way, the spiritual comes through the psychological dimension. Even dreams which seem dark and troubling can be seen in a different light when viewed from a more inclusive perspective.

Using a powerful method of working with dreams called the Waking Dream Technique which combines the creative imagination, psychological understanding and healing, the deeper meaning of dreams can be explored beyond the level of the mind using the dreamers experience in the body as a guide.  In making the meaning of the dream experience more conscious in this way, the dreamer can begin to benefit from the guidance which the dream has offered in its deeper wisdom.

The seminar will include a mixture of :

*  teaching sessions which cover developing the multidimensional perspective, types of dreams, understanding dream images, symbols and themes at different levels, understanding nightmares;

* demonstration of the Waking Dream Technique to show how the psychological and spiritual perspective can work together;

* practical sessions where participants have a chance to explore some of their own or their clients dreams or dream motifs in small groups;
