Prof. Rudi Dallos
Rudi Dallos is Professor and Programme Director on the Clinical Psychology Training Programme at the University of Plymouth. He has practises as a family therapist in a range of clinical contexts including work with eating disorders, adult mental health, child and family.
He has engaged in research on attachment, family dynamics and eating disorders and self – harm. And these have produced a number of publications and books including, Attachment Narrative Therapy, Working Systemically with Attachment Narratives.
He has trained with Pat Crittenden in the use of the Adult Attachment Interview and at the Anna Freud Centre in a number of attachment measures.
MASTER CLASS
'Attachment Narrative Therapy'
The workshop will explore how ideas from attachment theory, narrative therapy and systemic family therapy can be integrated into work with families and individuals. There will be an overview of developments in attachment theory with an outline of an integration with narrative and systemic concepts.
Material will be offered from research and clinical work with families to illustrate the ideas and also to offer clinical illustrations. The workshop will include experiential activities to invite personal and professional reflections. Use will also be made of a number of ‘formats for exploration ‘ which offer guides for using the ideas clinically.
DVD of sessions and outlines of case studies will also be offered to illustrate clinical applications and to invite discussion
